Wien - Hainburg
New Lengths
Following on from sufficient winks of recovery comes a stroll out of the city centre. The absence of any kind of civilisation for the majority of the day serves as a welcome vision for the longest hike to date. Mile after mile on the riverbank in the spring-like sunshine prove to be a delightful change to the preceding days. With humans and deer equally sparce in number, the hours go by as humility sets in. Brief breaks allow to address fatiguing body parts whilst remaining fresh to prevent rustiness. The immense distance covered on a day of limited light offers encouragement as to the greatness of hikes that could be undertaken.
