Day 1 - Beginning in Hoek van Holland

The beginning of the longest trek is accompanied by endless spring sunshine by the coast of the North Sea. Even though the magnitude of the trip and the new surroundings are yet to sink in, excitement can be felt in every step. A modest first day of walking ends in Brielle, from where the commuting traveller shall continue. The early departure upon the GR5 may cause difficulties with accommodation, though optimism persists that pragmatism will perservere on the first leg of the voyage.
