Day 4 - Belgian Border Crossing

Following a slow start to the day, the speed picks up with the presence of unfriendly furry housesitters. The majority of the day is spent on cycling paths and near roads, with the nature preserve near the border providing a welcome change of scenery. Immense pace is somehow pulled out of the bag to catch a train to the commuting hiker’s only viable overnight option. The predicted difficulties in finding accommodation are further hightened by the lack of open campsites and will likely persist for the days and weeks ahead.
